Shame on you George…you DEFINITELY SHOULD be embarrassed by your teen-angst playlist. I try to avoid most of the songs, but they slip in here and there, and then i feel 14 all over again…aka stupid. I was a stupid teenager. And perhaps i’m an even dumber adult, but now i don’t have to ‘put up with’ shit from other people.

Do other guys dig Torn by Natalie Imbruglia, or is it just me? I swear that song just hits my heart like a 45 hollow-point….booooom. If it’s just me, i’m pretty gay i suppose right? I had a huge tv crush on natalie when i was younger….she was and always will be BETH from Neighbours, no matter how many times she changes her hair colour.

Interesting….I haven’t got around to watching more than the first season of The Sopranos (i know i know, i’m terrible). I’ll be sure to check it out….some day :-p

We iz waiting for Larry to do another Curb, and well….that final season of Breaking Bad. Yeah, it should have ended with season 4, but whatever….I soooo wanna see Walt have his Tony Montana moment.

About Frank…the other day we took a cab home…you wont believe the conversation we had with the cabbie about Frank, Big Band Jazz, Tango, Miles Davis….poor old fellow was almost in tears, se emocionó tanto. I love things like that in life…a simple 10 minute cab ride turns into almost 45 minutes of ‘schooling’ in jazz and big band by a musician turned cabbie. He was almost as reluctant as me to end the conversation…and well…Romi was like…ok guys, let’s break up the music-orgy, haha.

I, too, was quite disappointed when I recently realized that the Unfriend Alert app had disappeared. I absolutely hate seeing my friend list number decrease by 1 without knowing who deleted me. I also have the “Deleted and New Friends Checker” app, which still exists and has also worked, but not quite as well as the Unfriend Alert did. Just a few hours ago, I downloaded the Greasemonkey browser add-on, along with the “Unfriend Finder” script that is associated with it (www.unfriendfinder.com). The script integrates into your FaceBook page so seamlessly that the add-ons appear as if they are actually part of FaceBook itself. I hate to say it, but I’m almost wanting someone else to un-friend me so that I can see for myself whether this Unfriend Finder by Greasemonkey actually works! Not only does it claim to NOTIFY you IN REAL TIME when a friend deletes you, but it also claims to tell you when someone declines your friend request, or when a friend deletes their account, reactivates their account, etc.

It’s the weirdest thing– I feel like I SHOULD be embarrassed by these songs but I’m really not. They’re like old friends I meet up with once every few years– they haven’t changed a bit, which is as comforting as it is a little depressing.

Interestingly, this song (which I love) conjures up images from the opening montage of the season 2 premiere of the Sopranos. I think it’s season 2. Could be 3. I don’t know.

I find myself embarrassed by the soundtrack to my angst-y teenage years but often go back to it when comfort is needed. I believe music is probably one of the things most closely tied to our memories. The right song and the right place and I swear, I can hear it all happening again. I can feel exactly as I felt in that moment. It’s like watching a home movie of your memories playing within your mind.

Also, I still cannot survive a breakup without Natalie Imbruglia’s Torn.
