Boys and girls of the internet, weep no longer, for Jor Mom is back to provide you with another dose of off-the-cuff nurturing motherly podcast love. You’ll be especially happy to know that there are three people in Jor Mom this week, as we celebrate the most magical place in the Earth: Canada-land.
That’s right! For no discernible reason, this week’s edition of Jor Mom is all about Canada. And since a Colombian and a Seattleite (… Se… Seattlian?) can’t credibly pay tribute to a country they’re foreign to, we enlisted the help of one of our very favorite Canadian bloggers: the one and only Tristachio. If the name is familiar to you, it may be because we reviewed her aaaaall the way back in episode 1, when Jor Mom was still a drooling infant (also known as two weeks ago). If you haven’t listened to episode 1 of Jor Mom, then I have nothing to say to you.
So sit yourself down in your most comfortable ass-device and listen to the sweet sounds of Jor Mom as we pay tribute to the land that brought us Joni Mitchell and John Candy. Ladies and gents, I present to you Jor Mom Episode 3: “Fun-Buttered, Eh?”
The blog we review in this episode is Kyle Lees’s No Haikus Ever. Also, check out his strip Ski Ninjas.
The video we talk about is Picnicface’s brilliant “Gun Genie”. Go watch it. But, uh, after you listen to us.
The music featured in this episode is as follows:
Smog- “Dress Sexy at My Funeral”
The Thermals- “Canada”
Sam Cooke- “Canadian Sunset”
Atlas Sound- “Criminal”
The Exploding Hearts- “Sleeping Aides and Razorblades”
Feist- “Brandy Alexander”
Bomb the Music Industry!- “Slumlord”
